The pay structure for the Event Sales Manager is a base salary plus uncapped commission!

Job Description:

The Event Sales Manager will help us meet revenue growth targets by generating private event revenue from sales through various outreach channels including their own network of contacts and incoming leads. The Event Sales Manager is based out of The Rustic and Bowl & Barrel.

Desired applicants will offer and be able to accommodate the following:

  • 3+ years’ experience in hospitality event specific sales (restaurant / venue sales preferred)
  • Extensive knowledge of the market
  • Knowledge and experience in event operations
  • Positive attitude, ability to work well in a team environment
  • Ability to accommodate a schedule based on high volume event sales; Required to work weekends and late nights, along with daytime office hours Self-motivated and creative
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Great organizational, time management and sales skills
  • Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact with guests, employees and third parties that reflects highly on the venue, the brand and the Company
  • Understanding and supporting the Mission of Creating Remarkable Memories
  • Develop, plan and sell private events at The Rustic and Bowl & Barrel
  • Responsible for proactively generating corporate and social sales through solicitation and outbound sales efforts
  • Establish sales objectives by working with Director of Sales to create sales plan and quotas
  • Achieves sales financial objectives and analyzes sales activity to make informed business decisions
  • Continually grows relationships with current and new clients by, among other things, making sales calls and presentations, attending local trade shows and networking events, and engaging in other client prospecting in order to increase the size of FreeRange Concepts  client database
  • Responsible for effective contract management and payment processes
  • Assumes responsibility for execution of events and communicates all requests of the client in an effective and sensitive manner
  • Ensures all required elements are scheduled, ordered, and communicated with team

This job requires ability to perform the following:

  • Frequently standing up or moving within and outside of the facility safely and efficiently.
  • Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 30 pounds.
  • Handling objects, such as promotional items, computer keyboard and phone.
  • Bending, stooping and kneeling.

Main duties of the role:

  • To achieve sales targets and expand the business
  • Respond to sales inquiries and process bookings
  • Proactively sell the venue to new clients
  • Proactive account management of existing clients to grow revenue
  • Actively seek and support marketing opportunities for the venue
  • Supervise inquiry handling process to ensure effective conversion rate
  • Development of individuals within venue team
  • Successful event coordination/delivery to consistently high standards
  • Supervise event planning and delivery with overall responsibility
  • Work closely with Kitchen Management Teams to ensure consistently high standards
  • Collaborate with all departments and operational staff to ensure a high quality of event delivery
  • Liaise with the operations team to ensure that all venue areas are serviced and set up
  • Analyze sales activity to inform business decisions
  • Provide regular financial reports to senior management team
  • Contribute to budgeting process
  • Management of client contracts and paperwork
  • Oversee the invoicing process to ensure that payments are properly processed
  • Input to and keep up-to-date the database of clients and prospective clients to maintain a reliable database
  • Monitor and regularly review competitors to ensure future growth
  • Understanding and supporting the Mission of Creating Remarkable Memories
  • Maintaining awareness of your own and others’ Health and Safety, and comply with Health and Safety policy
  • Undertaking other duties as may be reasonably requested within the responsibilities
  • Greet and interact with guests
  • Actively increase assigned venue’s customer database
  • Promote assigned venue through outreach and social media
  • Book, plan and manage private events
  • Communicate and train staff on sales initiatives and promotional outings to ensure their participation
  • Must be savvy in marketing and promotional strategies
  • Possess an outgoing personality, ability to approach all individuals and strike up conversations
  • Highly organized, reliable and have the ability to keep collected information secured
